Deputy Minister for Development of the Far East visited Hasan Municipal District of Primorsky Krai
Oleg Skufinsky, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East, paid a working visit to the Khasansky District of the Primorsky Territory, which is considered one of the most promising in terms of the socio-economic development of the Far East, the press service of the department reports.
The working trip was attended by representatives of regional authorities, the head of the Khasansky municipal district Sergey Ovchinnikov, representatives of federal executive authorities and the President of the Transit-DV Group Igor Polchenko, who is implementing an investment project in the Khasansky district.
During the visit, Oleg Skufinsky familiarized himself with the infrastructure of checkpoints across the state border of Russia. The deputy minister was shown the Hasan, Makhalino railway checkpoint and the Kraskino automobile checkpoint. All of them are part of the international transport corridor Primorye-2, which has great potential in the development of transit cargo transportation with the countries of the Asia-Pacific Region.
The Deputy Minister also visited the village of Zarubino and the seaport, on the territory of which the Summa group is planning to implement a large investment project “Construction of the Big Sea Port of Zarubino” on the principles of PPP. Oleg Skufinsky examined promising sites and land plots to be included in the advanced development territory in the Khasansky district, visited the largest enterprise of the Vostokbunker district, part of the Transit-DV Group holding and owning the third largest offshore oil terminal in Primorsk edge.
According to the results of the trip, the Deputy Minister noted that the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia pays much attention to the work on development of the transport corridors of Primorye-1 and Primorye-2 and this work is primarily focused on creating a modern transport and logistics infrastructure.
Most of the current problems associated with the development of these corridors are known. A lot of work is now being done to intensify interdepartmental efforts to solve them. At the same time, for greater efficiency, it is necessary to use public-private partnership mechanisms and tools of tax, customs, and other regulatory measures.
