Power engineers of Primorsky electrical networks (a branch of JSC DRSK, part of the RusHydro Group), together with teachers from the Far Eastern Federal University, organized an excursion to the 110 kV electrical substation “Burnaya” for graduate students.

The main purpose of such excursions is to familiarize students and graduates of specialized areas with the profession of power engineering. Future specialists are shown in practice the process of operation of the substation and electrical equipment, and discussed technical issues of interest.

The substation 110 kV "Burnaya" was not chosen for the excursion by chance - it is equipped with the most modern power equipment, relay protection devices, communication systems, automatic control and metering of electricity. This is the first modern closed-type substation in Vladivostok, built in 2012.

Such meetings with schoolchildren and students of power engineering are held regularly by the DRSK. Many of the students later come to practice in the company with the possibility of subsequent employment. So, next year, the specialists of Primorsky Electric Networks plan to conduct excursions to other significant and interesting power facilities of the branch.
