Spetsstroy concretes the launch facility at the Vostochny cosmodrome

Spetsstroy Rossii is building ground space infrastructure facilities of the Vostochny cosmodrome around the clock. At present, a key stage of construction has been completed - the concreting of the block A pavement slab - in total, more than 1700 cubic meters of concrete mixture were laid here, the press service of the organization reports.

This is an important and complex technological process, which was preceded by a serious preparatory stage - time-consuming double-layer reinforcement with reinforcement in the locations of the track. In order to increase the structural strength of the builders used a coupling connection of reinforcement rods.

During the period of concrete placement, 70 specialists and members of student construction teams from different cities of Russia worked at the facility in two shifts. Three concrete pumps were used to supply the mixture, and seven automobile mixers were used to supply it. The work was carried out around the clock.

In the near future, the concreting of block B of the starting construction will start, where more than 1800 cubic meters of concrete mix will be laid.

Construction and installation works do not stop at other objects of the launch complex. The naphthyl and kerosene process unit has already been commissioned for the installation of process equipment: all nine tanks have been mounted, the foundation, walls and floorings have been completed, and the building framework metal structures have been installed. The installation of enclosing structures, roofing, flooring, finishing works, as well as the installation of process tanks on the block of oxygen and nitrogen is being completed.
