Khabarovsk Customs met with colleagues from China

In Khabarovsk customs, a meeting with colleagues from the customs of Zhaohe and Fuyuan from the People's Republic of China was held, the press service of the Far Eastern Customs said.

The meeting was attended by the Russian side of the head of Khabarovsk customs Vladimir Ignatiev, the first deputy customs chief Sergei Kudlay and the head of the Khabarovsk customs post Andrei Rudenko. The delegation from the Chinese side included the head of Fuyuan Customs Liu Chuanbin and the head of the Zhaohe Customs House, Zhao Chengchen.

Mostly all the issues on the agenda of the working meeting concerned the work of the Khabarovsk and Fuyuan checkpoints.

In the framework of the working meeting, issues related to the movement of endangered objects, their parts, as well as products derived from them through the customs border of the Customs Union of endangered wild flora and fauna were discussed; goods related to intellectual property; problems associated with the importation of various drugs from the city of Fuyuan to the city of Khabarovsk.

First deputy customs chief Sergei Kudlay noted that in 2014 in the Khabarovsk river port, cases of imports of weapons into the territory of Russia, in particular electric shocks, telescopic batons and other goods, have become frequent. According to Russian legislation, these goods are classified as traumatic weapons and are not allowed to enter the territory of the Russian Federation.

Head of Khabarovsk Customs Vladimir Ignatyev noted that in the region of customs activity there are practically no cases of detention and illegal movement of narcotic drugs, psychotropic and strong substances included in the list of narcotic drugs subject to control in the Russian Federation through the Customs border of the Customs Union within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Community, The Federation is banned or restricted in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation and international treaties of the Russian Federation. This fact speaks of the productive work of neighboring customs and the effective use of modern technical means of customs control applied at the border checkpoints of the two countries.

During the meeting, issues related to the transportation of accompanied baggage by individuals crossing the customs border of the Customs Union through automobile checkpoints were also considered. The members of the Chinese delegation said that the customs rules of the People's Republic of China allow a single individual to move a large number of cargo packages with goods. In turn, the Russian side noted that such an approach to loading vehicles creates certain problems during customs control in Russia, and the transportation of large-sized goods in the passenger bus cabin is a violation of transportation rules established by the legislation of the Russian Federation. Both sides stressed that work on resolving these issues should continue.

In addition, considering the emerging queues at the Pokrovka checkpoint, the Chinese side reported that the issue of building the Pokrovka-Zhaohe drawbridge pontoon bridge is currently being resolved, as one of the measures that will contribute to solving the problems associated with the movement of passenger buses at this checkpoint.

The participants of the meeting expressed the unanimous opinion that it is necessary to develop cooperation of border customs in the future.

During the visit, members of the delegation visited the customs post of Priamursky (Center for Electronic Declaration) of the Khabarovsk customs. The cultural side of the trip was not ignored. The Chinese delegation visited the museum of the Khabarovsk customs, where the guests learned about the stages of its formation and development, about the good customs traditions, left their entries in the book of honorable guests of customs, and also visited the sights of Khabarovsk.
