Special project TORA and Free Port

A proposal was sent to the Russian government to expand the borders of the territory of the advanced development of Komsomolsk in the Khabarovsk Territory. ASEZs can be increased through the construction of a mining and processing enterprise in the Sunny District.

According to the press service of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, in the village of Solnechny it is planned to build a mining and processing complex for the production of copper and tin concentrates. The investor Geoprominvest LLC plans to use the tailings pond of the Solnechny GOK for processing. The total volume of tailings is 24 million tons. They contain about 49 thousand tons of copper and 110 thousand tons of tin.

According to the investment project, the capacity of the future GOK will be two million tons of processing per year. The construction of the new plant will be completed in 2022. The expansion of the Komsomolsk ASEZ will make it possible to attract up to 2,1 billion rubles of investments in the region’s economy and create about 200 jobs.

In total, in the Komsomolsk ASEZ since 2015, eight sites for investors have been created. Last thing expansion of the boundaries of a particular territory was considered in February 2020: then it was planned to add part of the territory of Nanai, Solnechny and Komsomol regions to the ASEZ.
